Ponmudi Is a hill station in the Trivandrum district of Kerala state in India.This hill ranges are a part of the Western Ghats mountain range that runs parallel to the Arabian sea.These Ever-green Foggy mountains are situated at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level.
This hill station is connected to
Trivandrum by a narrow winding road offering scenic views on the way to
Ponmudi.The pleasant climate should

extensive importance of biodiversity.It host to 283 species of birds.59%
percentage of the 483 bird species in Kerala are found in Ponmudi.In short,this is a paradise to the bird watchers.There are 22
hairpin turns along this short route which makes the travel a definitely
thrilling experience.
GOLDEN VALLEY AND MEENMUTTY FALLS
Settled along the banks of
Kallar river, Golden valley is a spectacular location to feel the nature with
adjoining lush green forest and pure natural flowing water.Travellers can get
trekking option here.The Meenmutty waterfall is a major attraction in this
valley.This flowing water is potable and crustal cleared one.
TREKKING
The Ponmudi hill ranges
providing several trekking trails to the hills.Mainly the Ponmudi Vana
Samrakshana Samithi (Ponmudi forest protection team) organising the trekking
trails.Trekkers would enjoy the trails at Varayattumotta,Chinnapulla, and
Braemoor supported by guides.

- Heavy rain falling months (June to September).
